So the first thing I will be doing in this blog from time to time (while I am not bored with it) is review video games. I am a gamer, but like everything else I do, I'm not hardcore about it. I play games that I enjoy while I enjoy them, and then stop when they get boring. I am not a completionist, I don't horde achievments, I don't necessarily enjoy kicking ass more than having my ass kicked. I just like certain games at certain times and then I play them.
I have a pretty good laptop on which I play PC games, which naturally means I don't play any state of the art PC games that require monstrous video cards. I also have an xbox 360, a Playstation 2, and a Nintendo Wii. My favorite genre is role playing games, I am particularly a fan of the now uncool Japanese RPG's. There's just something about the chess-like combat of a typical JRPG's turn based combat that I just get. I also like simulation games, platformers, and the occasional puzzle game and first person shooter. I don't really like sports sims or racing games, and my track record on fighting games is iffy. I don't shy away from cheating in a game, but I don't do it regularly, and I do it only if there's a purpose to doing it (game is more fun that way, wanna try something out, stuck for too long, etc.)
So in short one thing you can expect to see from time to time around here is reviews of video games. Not like professional reviews as you would see on Gamespot, but horribly amateurish ramblings that read like a 12 year old wrote them. Or maybe you won't, depends on how I feel like.
